PASTEL PINK ---

Choices were made in sorrow, this day
We had to choose what colors to lay
Your body upon - To gaze upon, last
Keeping our faith - Holding stedfast

To our belief in a living God of Love
Who made you to reign in Heaven above
Our loss is so deep - but great is His gain
He's called you forth, called you by name

Given you His treasures, more abundantly
Broken your bands asunder and let you go free
On these things, indeed - As we look, so we'll think
As we gaze one last time at you ----
On your bed of pastel pink..............

LISTEN FOR THE SOUND---

Listen for the sound of angel wings
For they come forth suddenly ---
Or so it seems -----

They touch your heart so tenderly
Unveiling truths for you to see ---
Traversing time and Eternity ---

These winged ones, so slight of frame
Each have a mission and a Name ---
Upon your prayers - summoned, they came

Rest your weary heads this day
For your loved one has transformed today
No bonds of death can hold them sway ---

They rise to praise the Lord on High
With angels, they soar beyond the sky
God smiles and holds them tight ....

New life begins - safe on Higher Ground
Where laughing hearts and love abound
Listen, closely, for the sound......
Of angel's wings.......

I WANT TO KNOW WHY

I want to know why ...
So much time has passed and yet I miss you
the way I always did, from the very beginning ...

I want to know why ...
Life has not missed a beat, society has kept
on turning and this world has continued spinning ...

I want to know why ...
The obstacles strewn upon my pathway
grew more difficult and answers were hid ...

I want to know why ...
The dreams I once envisioned coming true
have lost all their meaning when they did ...

I want to know why ...
Nothing has ever meant as much to me as
the days spent together, when we had alot less ...

I want to know why ...
Growing old has to leave us, often bereft
and alone, with such emptiness ...

I want to know why ...
Life on the outside continues on, even
when life on the inside is slowly leaving ...

I want to know why ...
We wear smiles on our faces and laugh
when deep down inside, we are still grieving ...

I want to know why ...
God? when it's my time to leave this world
and enter Your Eternal Kingdom ...

I want to know why ...
It took this time upon earth to produce the
priceless beauty of freedom ....
