Region 1998 - present Supervisor of Aging Programs and CSW: Provide in-depth, complex social work services to clients and their families. Oversee all facets of three programs serving Waukesha County. Serve on Waukesha Management Team; collaborate with a variety of local entities to coordinate in-home services for older adults and disabled persons. Prepare and monitor budget. Verify contract compliance. Perform human resource functions of advertising, interviewing, hiring, verifying references, supervision, evaluation and discipline of both staff and volunteers. Dementia clients and their families South Regional Director and CSW: Provided direct social work services to clients as well as supervised professional and other staff of three offices serving a three county area. Created annual plan and provided evidence of compliance with local, state and federal mandates and laws. Hired, trained, evaluated and provided career counseling to a staff of approximately 34. Used quality improvement practices and principle-centered leadership. Monitored South Region compliance with agency personnel policies. Responsible for all fiscal issues of the region. Hispanic Community Grant County Commission on Aging, Grant County, WI Agency Director and CSW - 1988 to 1996 Provided in-depth social services in a variety of programs and collaborations. Hired, trained, evaluated and supervised a staff of 25 regular employees and 250 volunteers. Managed a budget of $1,000,000 serving more than 2,000 clients per year. Evolved policy. Provided and presented educational opportunities for adults of all ages on a variety of topics. Provided counseling to staff, clients and volunteers regarding professional development, EAP topics, and aging issues. Researched wrote and edited the 12-page agency newsletter (circulation 6,000).
